Once you have done your research, it is time to pick your product. Think about timing the sale of a certain product to match a specific holiday, or a cultural event. For example Sunday, October 25th at 12:30am UTC / GMT there was an event called “Thrill The World”. This was an annual worldwide simultaneous dance of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” If you do your research you can find a list of world wide holidays and events such as this.

One thing that we have found in our years of using Pay Per Click Internet Advertising is that the worst thing you can do is fall in love with your product. If you are getting clicks on your ad but no sales, perhaps it is time to find other products in that Keyword market.

Let the market dictate what you promote instead of your own personal likes or dislikes. If they are not buying it, find what they will buy.

Also, you should always be very specific between your ads, keywords and products. When you have an ad for Purple Widgets from France selling for 27.75, then you better have that item for your product, too. This might sound like commons sense but sometimes we forget to be specific and that can cost us valuable sales.

Remember: Don’t try to trick your customer into looking at your page, it will cost you in the end.

While each tip is important you definitely want to know how to control losing money with advertising that does not have a good return on your investment (ROI). Here are some things that are necessary to minimize your risks. Start with a low budget, and do not get into a bidding war for clicks. Even on sites like Yahoo and Google, you want to stay within your budget.

Figure out how much money you are willing to spend per month, and then per day for your advertising. Keep records of how many clicks you are getting per day, and if those clicks are resulting in sales. How much are you spending for advertising and what is your profit?

Advertising is the highest expenditure for most businesses. For people just starting out it is something you have to do in order to be successful. Since your overhead is most likely not as high as having a storefront, you should still make plans to get traffic to your web site through advertising.

After you have set up your web site you want to use the keywords featured in the landing page that visitors are taken to after they click on your ad. The ad and the page should be highly relevant. This is going to keep your costs from “click and run” visitors lower. The ad should give the visitor a good idea of what they are going to see after they click.

Google rewards ads and pages that are relevant, and penalizes pages and ads that are not. It is very important to take the time to write ads that compliment the site. Can you use the same words in the ad and on the landing page? Absolutely!

Most of us at Mastermind Pros know or have children who are going back to school. It is important to have a quality backpack for student to carry no matter what grade they will be in. Here is one backpack that is featured in Diana’s School Supply Store.

In a little over a month there have been some major changes at Mastermind Pros.  There are new coaches and new classes being offered.  Frank Terranova, the CEO, is offering training for Google Cash Detective 5 days a week and twice a day for people who have purchased the program.  There is a loyal group attending the trainings, but you have to have purchased the program to have access.

Mastermind Pros is having week night classes Monday through Thursday, and then again on Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon depending on your time zone.  We have members from around the world so the times do vary according to where you might live.

Everyone is getting excited with the new book that Frank Terranova is working on.  It is going to put a whole new light on having success in Search Engine Marketing.  Most people who purchase ebooks in this area get mislead into a follow the leader type of mentality.  Even if you have some success with running ads on Yahoo and Google, you can learn from this book that Frank is writing.

I have spent most of the morning looking at blog tutorials and templates.  Although I do not feel that I am any further ahead in getting some updates to this blog, I still have learned a lot.

I have found out that my Camtasia program software key does not work with my new computer.  How does it know I switched computers?  That is just scary.  Well that lead to time spend looking for the key and finally a letter to support requesting help.  My Camtasia is 2 years old but I see no need to pay for an upgrade.

I did that so I could watch some tutorial videos that were made with Camtasia.  However then I thought I would just watch them with my browser, but for some reason firefox would not open them.  That lead to downloading up updated Firefox plugin for Adobe Flash, and then I had to uninstall my video links because they were not set up right, reinstall them, and finally watched some videos on changing blogging templates.

Well 4 hours later, I am ready to go get away from the computer for a while.

There is so much to learn about blogging once you decide you want to have one of the better blogs around and get lots of followers.  You have to start posting things that people will read and return to read.  How do you compete to get readers with all that there is out there?

I see people with thousands of followers.  That is my goal.  However at Mastemind Pros, we do not only want followers, but we want to give our followers some quality content.  Mastermind Pros is in the business of teaching success.

Well where am I with the blog and the blog update?  I read that simple changes are better than complete radical changes to start with.  However with so few readers maybe radical changes would not upset that many people.

The changes will most likely take place in June 2009. Or if not that will get changed.  Who knows what Word Press has in mind for blogging by then.

One thing definite is that things will be changing.  I look forward to the future.

Mastermind Pros is growing in leaps and bounds.  With all that we offer in state of the art coaching our members are finding that they can make money with the right tools.  This is fantastic for us, because more members means more joint ventures, and more joint ventures means more opportunity to learn from each other and a much shorter learning curve.

The first step it finding an acceptable theme.  This is the hunt for a great theme.  I am drawn to  the theme Hybrid News, but so far it looks like it will take a while to get that theme working right with the current setup on this blog.  It might be more than a few days to get that working right.  However there is a good amount of support for it so stay tuned for that upgrade.  I am really looking forward to it.

Now I have something to do on summer break.

I am a victim of the false promises.  I could stay out of work for a year with the money I invested in false promises.  However I learned something with each false promise.  I learned a bit of information that kept me seeking for a way to have success and not to cheat people in order to get my success.  I knew there had to be honest and helpful people on the internet and I was not going to give up until I found them.

However, it comes to a certain point where you have to tell yourself I am not buying one more ebook!  I hope you reach that point sooner than I did.  I weighed the price of ebooks, and the price of hiring a personal coach.  To me coaching was a better value.  I did have 2 coaches before I discovered Mastermind Pros through a forum.

Now I coach for them, and I put value into each of my classes.  I spend from 2-6 hours a week prepping for my classes so I give people what they are paying for.  I do not repeat the same class in a cycle.  Yes it would be much better to do one on one classes with a more strict format where I could give 5-10 lessons and send people on their way.  However that is not what we do at Mastermind Pros.  We have relevant and fresh content in our classes.

Our classes are geared for our members and now with the JV projects it is incredible.  If I had this type of training years ago…(lol)…how many times have you said that?  Well the important thing is that the time is right!  The training is here!  Your learning curve can be shortened and you can use the Mastermind Pros training, and even their money to learn.  That is right!  Once you join our jv projects your membership fee is all you need and then your learning becomes risk free as far as putting more money into programs.

We have been waiting and waiting and now the wait is over. WordPress 2.7 is here. So now we will be upgrading this site once again and hoping that all the plugins will be happy campers. The interface looks great, and overall WP looks like it is about to take a turn for being a very friendly site. Yes, even friendlier than before. I noticed the FREE WordPress was upgraded earlier since we have a few blogs there, too. For those of you still afraid to start your own blog, you should really be our guest at one of our Monday Night Blogging Classes. You can take the fear out of blogging, starting your own blog and learn how to be a social marketer, or networker, or both. If you want to learn how to join us for a class and see what the Mastermind Pros are all about just leave us a comment here on the blog.

Over the next few weeks we will be exploring the changes to WordPress with 2.7, and we are sure there will be several little fixes along the way, but well will keep you informed of all that is happening in our Monday night class so you won’t have to panic. We know the people are WordPress have a great blogging platform and if you start out with a free blog or just jump in with a hosted one, you will be picking from among the one that most professional bloggers use.

Blogger blogs are getting better though, and with Google Friend Connect there is going to be some more competition brewing. My answer to that is get them both and link from one to the other.

Whatever you do get out there! Get a blog, visit blogs, and be sure to leave those comments that the bloggers love to get. You can never have enough comments. Well maybe I should rephrase that…No SPAM Please.
