As the Vice President for Mastermind Pros in charge of Blogging and Social Networking, it is a privilege to be able to take time out of my day and have the freedom to post to a blog on behalf of others. While reading about the conditions that refugees face around the world it definitely increased our awareness at Mastermind Pros of how widespread the suffering is throughout the world.
Some of us might not be in a financial state to help anyone or organization with gifts of money, but we still can give our time by letting others know about these conditions. This is the purpose of Bloggers Unite. It seems every year people in regions of India are subject to flooding. Families are separated not by choice but because of a situation they have no control over. Do you know there are refugees from the war in Iran? Do you realize that most of these families in the countries that are either torn apart by wars or by natural disasters lose everything. The main concern they have is what happened to their missing family members.
Being the day before the Veteran’s Day celebrations in the United States, it brings home to those of us who were effected by family members being called to serve away from home in times of peace and in times of war. There are several graves for unknown soldiers. No, they were not refugees, but still people wonder what ever happened to those who were Missing In Action. Not ever soldier who goes to war returns to his family. Some people just seem to disappear, and it leaves a huge void.
What about the anguish of all the missing people who seem to disappear and are never heard from or seen again by family members?
Being separated from your family and not knowing if you will ever see them again has to be one of the largest heart breaks one would ever have to deal with. Now there are communities setting up services where people can try to contact each other. They can give family codes. Maybe this is a good time to reflect on what you would do if you were ever separated from your family. How would you contact each other? Maybe you should set up a code. Something you will never forget, so you can one day reunite.
