Happy Mother’s Day 2009

Mastermind Pros wishes all the mom, grandmoms, aunts , sisters, and lovely women around the world a Happy Mother’s Day.  We are always interested in how the world is changing and how the internet makes the world a smaller place with the ease of communication.

There are several causes springing up this Mother’s Day.  We follow the Blogger’s Unite recommendations and this year there are people posting about having a group of women from around the world who meet and find the way for peace.  No mother should have to send their children off to die in a war.  That is something that none of us really want.

The lady who was credited for the birth of Mother’s Day was an activist for abolition of slavery and then after the US Civil War, she became and advocate for peace.  Several women are taking up the cause, and it is gaining some momenteum with the Bloggers Unite group. Read the rest of this entry »

Today is the day that Bloggers Unite for Human Rights

As the Vice President for Mastermind Pros in charge of Blogging and Social Networking, it is a privilege to be able to take time out of my day and have the freedom to post to a blog on behalf of others. While reading about the conditions that refugees face around the world it definitely increased our awareness at Mastermind Pros of how widespread the suffering is throughout the world.

Some of us might not be in a financial state to help anyone or organization with gifts of money, but we still can give our time by letting others know about these conditions. This is the purpose of Bloggers Unite. It seems every year people in regions of India are subject to flooding. Families are separated not by choice but because of a situation they have no control over. Do you know there are refugees from the war in Iran? Do you realize that most of these families in the countries that are either torn apart by wars or by natural disasters lose everything. The main concern they have is what happened to their missing family members.

Being the day before the Veteran’s Day celebrations in the United States, it brings home to those of us who were effected by family members being called to serve away from home in times of peace and in times of war. There are several graves for unknown soldiers. No, they were not refugees, but still people wonder what ever happened to those who were Missing In Action. Not ever soldier who goes to war returns to his family. Some people just seem to disappear, and it leaves a huge void.

What about the anguish of all the missing people who seem to disappear and are never heard from or seen again by family members?

Being separated from your family and not knowing if you will ever see them again has to be one of the largest heart breaks one would ever have to deal with. Now there are communities setting up services where people can try to contact each other. They can give family codes. Maybe this is a good time to reflect on what you would do if you were ever separated from your family. How would you contact each other? Maybe you should set up a code. Something you will never forget, so you can one day reunite.

Bloggers Unite For Human Rights November 10, 2008

When we think of all the changes happening all over the world so fast, it is mind boggling to believe that so many people are still facing the horrors of being separated from the ones they love.
Several of us never have to face that, but to a certain extent we see it when our friends send their sons and daughters off to fight in wars in foreign lands. We see the lines of worry and concern on their faces when we ask how is Shaun doing, or how is Josiah, or Manny? Have you heard from them?

There lies the key. Even though several people we might know are off serving their country far away from home, we know where they are and why they are there. We pray for their safety and look forward to hearing that their parents have had a message from them.

It would be such a horrible experience to be separated from your loved ones with no hope of knowing where they are and what they are facing. Imagine never being able to see your child again. Most parents can not bear that thought. It is happening throughout the world even now. How can we put an end to this? Bloggers Unite has made a start by letting each of us have a say on our blogs. We must get our voices out to show we are concerned. That is a small start but it is a start.

With that in mind, Mastermind Pros, will continue to support Bloggers Unite in their causes to make the world a better place. They do not ask for much, just for some words to share. That is nothing, but perhaps this is the start to making the world a better place for everyone.
