Make Today What You Think It Should BE

Message from the President of Mastermind Pros
Frank Terranova

Make Today What You Think
It Should Be

Did The title catch your attention?

Want to learn how?

Guess what?

Have you ever heard this before?

What you focus on… that’s what you will
get.

You already make every day exactly what you think it should be.
The only difference is that your level of expectation may be a tad bit
lower than it ought to be.
If you wake up, get out of bed and stub your toe on the bedpost you
might already be predisposed to thinking the day’s not going to be
that great. If you don’t do something to change that outlook you
probably won’t be disappointed.
On a day in and day out basis you get exactly what you expect out
of life. Not what you wish for, but exactly what you believe is going
to happen.
I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating; whatever you focus on
is exactly what you get. The problem is that most of us don’t spend
enough time focusing on the results we want and as such we end
up getting the things we don’t want because that’s what we’re
focused on.
So how do you make the important distinction in your focus and
make the change?

Start with something simple;
Write down those things that you want from life. This does not have
to be your giant elaborate list of goals, just the things you’d like to
have happen on a daily basis. It can be things that evolve around
your business or your personal life.

Things like;

  • being happy,
  • having a great day,
  • being a good friend,
  • being healthy.
  • or in making a sale,
  • being a great mentor,
  • finding a new product or strategy.

Write these things down on a card and keep it with you all the time.
Review it in the morning and several times throughout the day.
Every time you feel yourself having negative focus, take out the
card and read it.

Life is meant to be lived, not survived! If you spend all of your time
focused on the way you don’t want things to turn out, you will miss
the fact that they are actually going the way you want them to.
know this sounds overly simple and quite frankly it is.

Get up tomorrow and decide that you are going to have a great day

Why? Because the little bad things that happen to all of us
over the course of a day don’t really add up to much of
anything in the middle of a really great day.
Just think about it.
Remember a day when something really good happened to
you and it seemed like everything was going your way? There
were probably some negative things going on at the same
time, but you just didn’t even notice because you were focused
on the great stuff!

So, my challenge to you… Decide what you want today to be
like and make today what you think it should be!

As a friend of
mine says, “If you think you can… or if you think you can’t …
guess what .. you’re right either way.” (Actually, that
is a Henry Ford quote that several successful
people use…)
I think you can.

Ann Reviews Click Bank Products

By: Ann MossClickbank is the world’s largest internet provider of digital products.   Everyday many products are added to Clickbank’s marketplace for Affiliate Marketers to evaluate whether they want to promote that product or not.

Those that are new to Affiliate Marketing go to Clickbank and then try to sort through all the products and then set up campaigns and web sites to promote them.   Expectations are huge and all the hype that takes place with the “pitch pages” of the products can lead Affiliate Marketers down a path of self destruction.

Only a small percentage of people promoting products on Clickbank actually make the “big bucks”.   Those on the outside of this group don’t know what they have done wrong and after much effort, give up.

To assist those just starting out, there is a few things that can help in determining whether a product on Clickbank is worth promoting and has the potential to make money.   By using the following key points as a check list when reviewing pitch pages, it is easy to evaluate a good quality pitch page versus one that won’t convert for the Affiliate Marketer.

Key #1 – Understanding Keywords
This is a given when it comes to AdWords and promoting any product.   If your keywords are not relevant to the product you are promoting, no one is going to buy the product.   You have to look at this from the customer’s point of view.   If they type in a keyword in the a search engine and your product comes up, but when they open up the pitch page and the keyword didn’t match up with what they are looking for, they will just hit the “back” button on their computer and move on.   You just lost a sale.

Key #2 – The Headline
Does the headline stand out?   Does it capture your attention?   Does it create a desire for you to want to read more?   If it doesn’t, it’s time to look for another product to promote.   If you aren’t interested in reading the full pitch page, neither will be your customers.

Key#3 – What’s in it for me?
Again, put yourself in your customer’s shoes.   Think about the benefits and features of what the product is promoting.   Does it match up with your keywords for relevance and does it create a “what’s in it for me” desire to learn more.   How does it benefit your customer?

Key #4 – Is there a unique selling proposition?
Products that offer a unique selling proposition will sell much better than anything else.   What is unique about this product that other products are not offering?  How can you capitalize on this to gain a niche that others will miss out on?

Key #5 – Are there testimonials?
Are there testimonials?  These are important to show credibility of the product being sold.   A few are really good, too many and it can overwhelming and they will not be read.

Key #6 – Is there a guarantee?
Even though this is important for your pitch page and customers really look at them, Clickbank requires all products sold to have a 56 day return policy.  Now, if the guarantee is for longer than 56 days, it would catch my attention.

Key #7 – Is there a call to action?
It’s amazing how many pitch pages I have seen that have not had a call to action.  It’s really hard to make a sale if you don’t instruct a customer on what to do to make the purchase.

Key #8 – Are there “exits” off the pitch page?
Phone numbers, email address’, text links to other web pages, and opt-in boxes for newsletters, free offers, and trials are considered “exits” off of the pitch page that benefit the seller and not the affiliate marketer.  Look for all “exits” to make sure they benefit both the seller and the affiliate marketer.

Again, as an Affiliate Marketer, use these keys as a checklist to do your research on your products.    By taking the time to do this research, a new Affiliate Marketer can be well on their way to success.

Power of A Mentor For Affiliate Marketing

Here is a great Article by the President of Mastermind Pros, Frank Terranova.

Power Of A Mentor For Affiliate Marketing
 By: Frank Terranova

What is involved in working with a Mentor?   Why do you need it for getting started in Affiliate Marketing?  There are many things that a Mentor can help you with, but the best Mentors follow a very specific process that has proven results.   While they may have various names, there are three basic Stages that all good Mentors should follow.   Each Stage can be broken down into smaller pieces depending upon the need of your Affiliate Marketing Business.

1. Involving – the idea here is to clarify the purpose of what your expected outcomes are.   This includes goal setting.   You can have one goal or several goals, depending upon your situation.  You need to have long term goals and short term goals.   The short term goals need to support the long term goals.  They need to be as specific as possible.  For example:
a. Short Term:  To make $500/day with AdWords within 3 months.
b. Long Term:   To make $1,000/day with all business processes on a continuing bases; to be updated and reviewed every 3 months.

2. Developing – once your goals are set, an implementation plan needs to be put into place.    Keeping the long term goals in mind, you will begin putting together an implementation plan for all the short term goals.  For example:
a. Short Term Plan #1 – research and find profitable keywords in 3  days
b. Short Term Plan #2 – implement 1 AdWords campaign per day for 2 weeks.   Monitor daily, making improvements in keywords and testing various ads.
c. Short Term Plan #3 – take top 2 AdWords campaigns from STP#2 to design and implement landing pages.

3. Resolving – this is addressing any issues that may come up during the implementation and/or developing Stage.   This is where the experience and advice of your Mentor will really benefit you.    For example:
a. AdWords campaigns are not profitable – your Mentor will be able to help you analyze why they are not profitable and help you make changes.   Understanding why your campaigns are not profitable is a learning curve that is shortened with the support of your Mentor.
b. Finding profitable keywords and products.   If you are struggling in this area, your Mentor will be able to provide you guidance as to where to look and what to look for in matching up profitable keywords with good quality products.  Again, the experience of your Mentor will shorten your learning curve and soon you will be able to do this analysis on your own.

So where does success start?  Planning is the cornerstone of all successful people.   Many people look only at today or tomorrow.  It goes back to us being an “instant gratification” society.  We want it now.  But those who succeed, those who make the good money, they know planning and do planning effectively.

So how do you put together a plan?  Look at it beyond the money.   What is it that you want in life?   Do you want to pay off a few bills, buy a new house, buy a new car, or put money away for retirement?  Without understanding what it is you want setting goals can be difficult.   This is where a Mentor can help you focus on what your wants are and develop plans on how to get there.

Overall, the Mentoring process is a support system to help you achieve the goals that you desire.   While many people believe that they can do this on their own, those people who are achieving the best results in Affiliate Marketing will tell you that a Mentor made all the difference in their success.

Do You Leave Real Comments on Blogs?

What do I mean by this question, “Do You Leave Real Comments on Blogs?”  What is a Real comment?  Is this important to know?

Well it is important to know about leaving comments on blogs that will actually make it past the spam filters and get published.  The sad part of being a blog owner is putting your content out there for the general public to view, and then finding out that the only ones leaving comments are the Viagra sales people or the Stay at My Time Share people.  Then you learn that they have automated posting systems set up somehow.

Just like SPAM emails there are spam commenters.  It is just junk!  However Word Press has pretty efficient plug ins and filters so those posts never even get seen.  Plus with a Word Press Blog you can even set it up so you are notified of posts and then you can choose what you want the world to see on your blog.

What are the advantages to leaving a real comment on a blog?  Well why did you visit the blog?  Did the blog satisfy your reason for visiting it?  Was the content valuable? Did you enjoy the content and the graphics?  Will you return to the blog?  The blog publishers want to know this.  Comments help the publishers to adapt their content to what visitors are looking for.

Leaving a comment is a Win-Win situation.  When you leave a comment on most blogs you are asked for your web URL.  This is good (why do the spammers send out all their automated comments?).  Back links are good.  I personally have followed a commenter’s link just to see what their site looked like because I enjoyed reading their comment.

The more positive relationships you can establish on the internet the better it is.  Positive relationships can begin by just leaving a comment on a blog.  Sometimes the blog owner will even send you a follow up email thanking you for your comment.  Blog owners really do enjoy getting feedback.  They will usually visit your website or blog, too, just to see what you are doing.

Comments do not take very log to leave.  Give it a try and see what happens.  I have been to blogs where the comments are more fun and interesting to read then the original article.  Some really good discussions and information sharing can start this way.  Most blogs will  allow you to subscribe to comments, too.

Let me know if this article was helpful.  Find the link at the end of this article and add your comment!  If it says No Comments, that means you can be the first!

Why Should You Be Pepared!

Ok that is a strange title, but why should you be prepared?  Maybe you are asking, be prepared for what?  Be prepared for life!

What does that mean? Things change.  Are you prepared?

Maybe you have a great job now, but are you prepared for change on your job?  What if there is a flood or fire and you no longer have your job?  Do you have something to fall back on?  How long can you live on unemployment insurance?  Do you have that where you live?

What if your boss sold the company, or he or she was suddenly replaced?  Would your job be secure?

It is always good to have a Plan B.  Isn’t it difficult to save money now?  Some people work two jobs just to make ends meet for one month.  Have you thought about it?  There are only so many hours in the day to work.  It seems more and more people are looking at the self-employment option to either save some money or to start another income stream going for their future.

This is why Mastermind Pros is here and this is why there are coaches available to train.  This is why I became involved with this team.  I definitely want to be prepared for the changes that will come.  Whether we like them or not, changes come. Our comfort zones are always being invaded.

How are you surviving the high gas prices?  How are you going to heat your home this winter?  Is everything going the way you want it?  Were you a victim of Katrina? Did the fires in California affect you?

Do you have what you want out of life?  Think about where you are today.  The time to start preparing for your future is now.
