In this economy people are faced with difficult choices.  Married couples with children have to decide who stays home, who goes to work.  Or if both parents want to have the day job, then there is child care.  Can both parents work and pay child care?  Would it be more beneficial for one parent to stay home and start a Home Based Business.  There are tax deductions for work at home moms (WAHMs as they are being called), or dads.  Many people can change a hobby or side business into a full time work at home business venture.

Look at what you are good at and see if there is a way to build a job out of it.  Several women are going into the home child care business.  Do you think these home child care providers could use some advice for this type of business?  If you know about starting and running a day care business, maybe that could be your niche to begin your Work at Home business from.

More and more people are discovering that working at home with a computer related business is what they want to do.  I know a few people who are great at typing and they contract out to local medical offices to fill out and mail insurance forms for them.  The only trick is you might have to be able to read Doctor’s handwriting, but many doctors might simply record it for you and you can just transcribe it.

Believe it or not people are still looking for typists for term papers or other college papers.  You might not believe it in this computer age, but there are several poor typists out there.  That is why texting is so much fun, you do not have to know how to spell!

There are even jobs in such areas as answering surveys, and clicking on ads.

We have been waiting and waiting and now the wait is over. WordPress 2.7 is here. So now we will be upgrading this site once again and hoping that all the plugins will be happy campers. The interface looks great, and overall WP looks like it is about to take a turn for being a very friendly site. Yes, even friendlier than before. I noticed the FREE WordPress was upgraded earlier since we have a few blogs there, too. For those of you still afraid to start your own blog, you should really be our guest at one of our Monday Night Blogging Classes. You can take the fear out of blogging, starting your own blog and learn how to be a social marketer, or networker, or both. Over the next few weeks we will be exploring the changes to WordPress with 2.7, and we are sure there will be several little fixes along the way, but well will keep you informed of all that is happening in our Monday night class so you won’t have to panic. We know the people are WordPress have a great blogging platform and if you start out with a free blog or just jump in with a hosted one, you will be picking from among the one that most professional bloggers use.

Blogger blogs are getting better though, and with Google Friend Connect there is going to be some more competition brewing. My answer to that is get them both and link from one to the other.

Whatever you do get out there! Get a blog, visit blogs, and be sure to leave those comments that the bloggers love to get. You can never have enough comments. Well maybe I should rephrase that…No SPAM Please.
